Dr Ahmed Bajhau is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the hip and knee. Over the years, Ahmed has collaborated with Bogdan and Boopalan as a direct notion to share their expertise, consult on patient issues and together, nurture improved outcomes for patients. This philosophy underpins their joint approach at Adelaide Arthroplasty Clinic.

Ahmed has consistently developed his expertise as a progressive hip and knee specialist to the highest standard. He has been heavily involved in the South Australian Chapter of the Australian Orthopaedic Association as Scientific Secretary for four years (2015 – 2018). He is a visiting consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Senior Clinical Lecturer with the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma at The University of Adelaide. Ahmed has also been the Director of Orthopaedic Training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for six years.

After gaining his initial qualifications in Adelaide, Ahmed undertook an arthroplasty fellowship in Vancouver, Canada. This provided a rigorous and disciplined approach to further develop and refine sophisticated orthopaedic techniques, being taught and mentored by some of the best hip and knee surgeons in North America.

With a deep level of care and compassion, he proactively shares his own expertise to support professional development of other surgeons and improve patient outcomes in both Australia and overseas. Since 2017, Ahmed has been visiting Nepal with Kush. Together, they collaborated with and mentored local arthroplasty surgeons to advance the specialisation in that country; giving lectures, performing surgery, and refining approaches to deliver best-in-class care.
